User reviews

KeePass Tusk is praised for integrating KeePass database management within the browser, providing ease of setup and functioning autofill capabilities. However, multiple users highlight critical issues: the extension is abandoned with no recent updates, leading to security and stability concerns. It lacks full feature support (like OTP and Argon2), struggles with cloud syncing and login reliability, and does not allow adding new database entries. While it serves basic password management needs, these drawbacks limit its usefulness and safety for many users.
Pros
  • Works as a fully embedded KeePass (.kdbx) manager with cloud storage integration.
  • Easy to set up and use, suitable for users switching from other password managers.
  • Provides autofill functionality and works well as a browser extension.
  • Compatible with portable KeePass installations and some compatible password managers like AuthPass.
  • Generally performs its core job of password management reliably in supported scenarios.
Cons
  • The add-on is no longer actively maintained and has not been updated for several years, raising security concerns.
  • It lacks support for certain features such as OTPs and Argon2 key transformation, limiting usability for some users.
  • Issues with syncing and logging into databases, especially with cloud services like OneDrive, pCloud, Nextcloud/Owncloud, making it unreliable.
  • Cannot add new entries directly to the database, reducing functionality as a full password manager.
  • Some users experience crashes after updates or extended use, impacting stability.
Recent reviews
Bin bisher sehr zufrieden. Mich hat es an anderen Erweiterungen immer sehr genervt, das ich immer erst meinen KeePass auf dem Rechner starten muss, damit die Erweiterung überhaupt funktioniert. Diese hier ist auf jeden Fall gleich viel besser.

It works as a fully embedded .kdbx manager with cloud storage. But it doesn't support my OTPs among other things
