Summary

The ad-block extension simply changes the player type to an ad-free version of the Twitch player. This player version is limited to 480p max quality. So if 480p is enough for you and you really hate the video ads, this is the extension for you. It doesn't change anything on the Twitch player itself, just the video feed that comes in.

You MUST remove any other previous Twitch specific ad blockers or user-scripts in case of conflicts. For example, TTV LoL and Purple Ad-Block will override this extension and stop it from working. However this extension can be used with uBlock Origin (Without user-scripts installed).

If you have issues while using this extension, please note, some ad-blocker extensions may interfere with this extension.

I used the 1080p-480p version of this estension for months and had problems with the stream freezing when the ads starts. So I tried this version for a week now and it works flawlessly. Like I said in the review for the other version, it's probably because when it starts blocking ads, the stream needs to go below 480p to keep playing but that is not possible because it works only between 1080p and 480p when an ads start. So if you have the same problem with the 1080p-480p version, try this one.
