Super Tab Sorter - Customizable Chrome Tab Management
"Super Tab Sorter" is a free and open-source Chrome extension that enhances tab organization by providing user-customizable tab sorting and grouping. With features like respecting tab groups, sorting by URL, and custom sorting options, it offers a robust solution for managing tabs more efficiently. Users can manually override tab order, deduplicate tabs, and configure behavior for suspended tabs from extensions like The Great Suspender. Ideal for users who want advanced sorting tools beyond basic functionality.

"Super Tab Sorter" is a free and open-source Google Chrome extension for people who want user-customizable tab sorting and grouping. This is a more feature-rich version of Simple Tab Sorter, designed to contain feature requests that might conflict with Simple Tab Sorter's design goals of remaining "Simple" and lightweight.
In addition to standard URL or title-based sorting, its "killer features" are:
Respects Google Chrome's Tab Groups.
"Sort By URL" sorts by domain, sub-sorts by host name.
User configurable sort behavior for handling tabs suspended by extensions derived from The Great Suspender (please review the User Guide under Options for configuration instructions).
Neat tool! The `Sort by URL` options work as expected.
Only taking off a star because of a buggy custom option. Context: The default tab ordering is 'Right to Left'. To reverse this ordering, you need to switch from `Sort by URL` to `Custom` and then switch the dropdown option to to `Left to Right`.
For my workflow and the types of sites I tend to visit, the `Left to Right` would be strongly preferred.
Will update rating once fixed. May also review the code and submit a PR if time allows it. In the meantime, all I can say at first glance is that the custom sorting seems to perform a local sort instead of the default global (per window) sort you get in `Sort by URL`. Seems like this is leading to inconsistencies whenever I try to sort with custom sort (even when I leave all the other sorting options unchanged).
sweet ext! but do have a question how does this diff from super tab sorter?any diff at all? just wondering if one offers more features than the others. thanks bro for extension again
