User reviews

Users praise Marble for its simplicity and effectiveness in automatically organizing Chrome tabs into groups, making tab management effortless. Key strengths include ease of use and handling many open tabs efficiently. However, common issues include conflicts with other extensions (notably window mergers), the extension grouping pinned tabs which breaks their pinned state, lack of options for sorting groups or managing single-tab domains, and some unclear features or terminology. Overall, it's well-regarded but would benefit from enhancements and better compatibility.
Pros
  • Automatically organizes tab groups to keep things simple and manageable
  • Easy to use with a simple and elegant interface
  • Effectively groups tabs by domain and subdomain
  • Helps manage many open tabs or windows efficiently
  • Free and actively developed with potential for future improvements
Cons
  • Conflicts or incompatibility with other extensions, especially when merging windows
  • No option to exclude pinned tabs from grouping, causing them to lose their pinned state
  • Unclear or missing features such as handling single-tab domains
  • Lack of sorting options for tab groups (e.g., alphabetical or positioning)
  • Some terminology and features are confusing or not fully explained

It doesn't do anything. It looks exactly the same as if I removed all tab extensions from chrome. Chrome overrides all of them. What am I missing here?

Just installed this and it's so simple and great! I'd love it though if groups would sort to the left and non-grouped tabs on the right.

What does "Close single-tab domains" mean? Does that mean it will close all tabs that don't have a group? That's not very helpful. How about creating a group just of those orphan tabs? So we can have them handy, but reduce the space they take up when not being actively used? Otherwise, as a very promising extension, especially the automatically organize feature, when it works. That function is missing from the Google Labs version. Please keep up development!
