Bring in your data, in whatever format it's already in
Upload KML, Shapefiles (.zip), or GeoTIFF rasters directly. Convert between KML/KMZ, Shapefile, GeoJSON, GPX, GeoPackage, CSV, and Excel — including turning a spreadsheet of coordinates into real point geometry, or exporting spatial layers back to a spreadsheet with formatted coordinates. Pull satellite imagery (Sentinel-2, Landsat 8/9), elevation data (SRTM/Copernicus/ALOS), and global soil data straight from the app.

A full vector and raster processing suite
Buffer, Clip, Minus, Merge (2+ layers), Intersection, Count Features, and a Point in Polygon Analysis tool that tags every point with the polygon it falls inside. Plus a Grid Generator for field surveys, GPS point extraction, and Proximity/Distance Analysis. On the raster side: reclassification, raster algebra, raster clipping, and raster-to-vector conversion.

Terrain and watershed analysis
Slope, aspect, hillshade, ruggedness, elevation profiles, 8-class landform classification, and solar radiation index. For hydrology: TauDEM-based stream extraction with Strahler ordering, TWI, SPI, curvature analysis, catchment delineation, bund/pond water-spread modeling, check-dam suitability, and flood inundation simulation. Viewshed Analysis calculates exactly what terrain is visible from any point, accounting for hills blocking the line of sight.

Purpose-built forestry tools
Compute NDVI, EVI, and SAVI vegetation indices. Classify forest canopy density into FSI's own 4 standard classes. Detect forest cover change — including subtle selective-felling thinning, not just clear-cutting — between any two dates. Score land for waterbody, watchtower, or plantation site suitability. Plan the most economical forest road route with Ghat Cutting, which accounts for slope, drainage, and ground hardness, auto-inserting switchbacks where needed.

For fire monitoring: search FSI's current-season fire alerts (down to circle/division/range/block/beat) or its historical archive back to 2015, plus a separate live satellite Fire Detection tool pulling directly from NASA's VIIRS sensors.

Engineering tools for water supply and rural infrastructure
Check whether a pipeline route can rely on gravity flow or needs pumping, auto-plan the most economical pipeline route, or delineate a gravity command area. For construction: cut-and-fill earthwork estimation, building site suitability, culvert/bridge crossing detection, and sub-watershed prioritization by erosion risk using a proper Sediment Yield Index.

Land records and one-click reporting
Madhya Pradesh users get direct khasra (land parcel) lookups against official records. The Site Report PDF tool runs a full suite of terrain, watershed, forestry, and engineering analyses across a boundary and packages everything into one professional multi-page PDF automatically.
