User Reviews

Users praise Discographic for easy cataloging, barcode scanning, rich data/UX, and being a strong Discogs alternative. However, recurring crashes, login/sync issues, unclear Pro features, and some workflow gaps appear as major drawbacks.
Pros
  • Easy to catalog and organize the collection with an intuitive UI and folders/tags.
  • Barcode scanning makes adding items quick and helps avoid duplicates.
  • Rich data and integrations: charts, snapshots, Spotify/sample links, and cross-device play options.
  • Strong UI/UX and widely regarded as superior to the official Discogs app; a preferred cataloging tool.
  • One-time Pro upgrade supports developers and unlocks premium features without ongoing subscriptions.
Cons
  • Frequent bugs and crashes, instability, and occasional data loss requiring reinstallation or reauthorization.
  • Sign-in and account sync issues with Discogs, including lack of Google sign-in and potential data wipe.
  • Opacity of Pro features and pricing; user concerns about what's included and a preference for a non-subscription model.
  • Workflow gaps and bugs (e.g., recent sales history not easily accessible, wishlist tagging crashes, and category/navigation changes) hampering usability.

I absolutely LOVE this app. I had been looking for a Discogs replacement app for a while as I don’t like how the official Discogs app forces you to only sort alpha by band or artist first name. Well this app gives you an option to sort by last name and to use a custom sort! Only a minor issue in the sorting as the app puts certain bands that begin with A or I in a different position than where I think they should be, but that’s a minor minor issue. I love being able to add tags to my items and even multiple tags if I want. I also prefer how the album data is presented more then the official Discogs app. And don’t get me started on the reports… oh wow they are incredible. Make sure to purchase the Pro version to unlock the apps full capabilities. You won’t regret it. The app developer is also extremely responsive to support if you need to use it.

Love this app, I’ve sent the developer a tip twice because it’s designed so well. Makes it fun to explore my collection.
