Overall, users praise C-MAP for reliability on boating trips and strong support, with user-friendly design and good features at a fair price. However, recurring stability problems—crashes on startup or during use—followed by frequent failures to save tracks, map loading and data quality issues (missing contours, locating lakes, depth errors), and an AIS feature that requires internet, are the most recurrent, critical drawbacks.

Would be great if the app didn't constantly crash.

I’ve been using this app for several years now. Over the last year it’s been very glitchy. The app will shut down randomly, then not want to restart. Then the app charts keep defaulting make to metric depth measurements even though I have feet selected. Lastly, it doesn’t want to talk to my NSS9 Evo3 most of the time to share routes. Both my Simrad, c-map apps and my iPhone 16 pro max are up to date.
