B&G: Companion App for Sailors

My immediate reaction after using the app is that its display of depth has weird fonts that make it impossible to read or be confident in planning routes. Also, basic navigation and route planning is extremely glitchy. I don’t think I’d trust this at all. I’ll play with a little more, but highly unlikely to depend on it, or pay for it.

I wish I could’ve shared this information through support, but there is no support communication option for the companion app according to the knowledge base and any information posted in the app support link provided here. The app is extremely buggy the icon a circle that represents my position often just doesn’t show up every time you touch the screen. Often when touching the screen to zoom or move it thinks you’re putting a mark down. Most of the function in the UI is just not well planned and up to par with so many other Apple apps. I am hopeful that B&G will make a proper investment and get this app up to snuff.
