Selfreliance FCU Mobile is the official free mobile banking app for Selfreliance Federal Credit Union members. It lets you check balances and view transaction history, transfer funds between accounts, locate the nearest branch with directions, and view hours of operation and contact information. You can also find surcharge-free ATMs nearby.

You can deposit checks by photo from your mobile device and register for self-service access. More features are coming soon. For installation questions, call 888-222-8571. Disclosures: you must be an existing member; feature availability is subject to eligibility; there is no charge from SFCU to use this app, but message and data rates may apply.

The SelfReliance app is extremely frustrating to use. Basic features like messaging, making loan payments, and setting up ACH transfers constantly glitch or fail altogether. You would expect a financial app to be reliable, but instead, it’s a source of constant stress. Every time you try to do something simple, the app either crashes, freezes, or gives an error. If you’re thinking about using this app to manage your loan or accounts, be prepared to waste a lot of time and get very frustrated. They seriously need to fix the app before offering it as a service.
