User Reviews

Reviews are mixed: the app can provide quick responses and help in crises, but many users report little follow-up, privacy issues, a narrow focus on suicide, and risks of misuse; there are also accessibility concerns and inconsistent guidance on next steps.
Pros
  • Tips sometimes receive very quick responses (minutes to under an hour).
  • Yields real help in crisis situations for some users (e.g., suicidal or bullying incidents).
  • Reporting is easier and provides a clearer channel compared to traditional methods.
  • In some cases, the process leads to quick involvement of authorities or school staff when needed.
Cons
  • Inconsistent follow-through; some tips lead to little or no action.
  • Privacy concerns: anonymity is not consistently respected and some users are forced to share names.
  • App appears to focus mainly on suicide/threats, with limited handling of other issues like sexual assault or harassment.
  • Potential for misuse: reports can be fake or used to bully/blackmail others.
  • Accessibility and privacy problems when not having a phone or when reports go to a parent’s device.

I was minding my own business a couple days ago, until I got a message from my group chat with my friends. Their son screenshotted a picture of a 12 year old classmate vaping and drinking some beer. Their son also stated that the 12 year old was sending sexually explicit pictures between her boyfriend in return of some of his. I asked ChatGPT who to report it to, and ChatGPT said to report it to MDHHS. I didn’t want to make a phone call, so I used OK2SAY to text. In return they asked a ridiculous amount of questions. I provided the most amount of information as I could to them. They said (after 17 minutes of the prior message from me) that they could not do anything without any more information. I am worried that the 12 year old will get seriously injured or worse if these habits continue without any sort of interventions.

Once I gave a tip the issue was responded to just minutes after. I am very thankful for Ok2Say.
