Features & Capabilities

forScore Cue lets you remotely control forScore from nearby devices. Connect wirelessly to one or more devices to turn pages, jump to a specific page, scroll, or toggle half-page turns depending on each device’s orientation. You can navigate to any score present on all connected devices and even view a device’s screen to follow along as they play. Cue works with forScore 6.1 or later (sold separately).

In Dual Page mode, use forScore on one device and Cue on another to display two full-sized pages simultaneously. Your page and its annotations are sent wirelessly, and tapping or swiping on either device turns two pages at a time. Links and buttons work across both sides, so you can tap them wherever they’re located. Visit forScore.co/cue to learn more. Performance can vary based on settings, environment, and network availability; a Wi‑Fi connection is strongly recommended. Image quality can be adjusted in the Settings app.

User Reviews

Users see value in ForScore Cue’s 2-up dual-page mode and quick syncing when it works, but face recurring reliability problems: devices disconnect, apps crash or freeze, and performance degrades after OS updates, with occasional blank/slower slave displays. Many suggest workarounds or fixes, but live-performance reliability remains a concern.
Pros
  • Dual-page (2-up) mode across two iPads, a core feature many users want.
  • Fast syncing and quick page turns between devices when the connection works.
  • Easy pairing and integration with ForScore via Bluetooth.
  • Positive sentiment about the dual-page concept and its potential value.
Cons
  • Frequent disconnections between the master and slave iPads, making dual-page mode unreliable during performances.
  • Crashes or freezes, with live-use interruptions and inconsistent performance.
  • OS updates appear to degrade or break functionality, requiring workarounds.
  • Slave display issues such as blank pages or mis-displays and lag in page updates.

The 2page function of this app stopped working. They need to stop advertising that it is a working feature.

Organist here. I need to see the equivalent of 2 standard sheets of paper for my job. Been using an external monitor or Mobile Sheets with two 13” iPads since Cue and Apple crashed. I read that Cue is “optimized” for Apple devices. Can I rely on cue in performance settings again? I am often in WiFi but sometimes *only Bluetooth.* I were playing organ for your wedding, would advise me to trust Cue/Forscore for dual iPads, or would tell me that I would be safer using my external monitor or Mobile Sheets to have a reliable view of two pages at a time? Thank you. Bravo to you and the Forscore team!

It has been three months since people started having issues with iPads disconnecting from each other and the app still hasn’t been updated. Kludgy workarounds are required to use two iPads for dual page view.
