Quietpaw: Dog Bark Monitor

Tap “I’m leaving”, come back to a clear report: how long your dog barked, when it started and how today compares.

Find out how your dog’s day went while you were out.

Leave an iPhone at home, tap “I’m leaving” and go. Quietpaw listens for barking, howling and whining. When you’re back, you get a clear report instead of hours of recordings:

“Luna barked for 23 minutes. It started 4 minutes after you left. Peak 10:00–10:40. Yesterday: 41 minutes.”

THE REPORT • Minutes of barking, howling, whining and growling • How soon it started after you left and when your dog settled • A dot timeline of the whole day, peak time and calm stretches • What set it off: doorbell, door, siren, thunder and more • Comparison with yesterday and last week • Short clips of barking spells (clips with human speech are never kept)

ALONE-TIME PROGRAM 14 steps from 1 minute to 4 hours. Quietpaw checks each step by sound, so you don’t have to guess. The next step opens after a calm session, and a progress chart shows how far you’ve come.

REACT TO BARKING (OPTIONAL) Play your recorded voice or a calm sound when barking lasts 15 seconds, with a pause between plays and an hourly limit. Quietpaw shows whether spells end sooner with the reaction or without it.

ALERTS ON YOUR OTHER IPHONE Signed in to the same Apple ID? Get notes like “barking for over a minute” and “settled” through your iCloud. No server, no pairing codes. Without a second iPhone everything still works.

MADE FOR A SPARE IPHONE AT HOME Works with the screen locked, resumes after calls, warns about low battery and storage, and dims the screen when it stays plugged in.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sound is analyzed on the iPhone with Apple’s built-in classifier. No account, no ads, no analytics. Recordings stay on your device.

QUIETPAW PRO Listening sessions and the total noise summary are free. Pro unlocks the detailed report, clips, the reaction, the alone-time program, alerts on another iPhone and history: yearly with a 7-day free trial, monthly, or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Quietpaw counts sounds; it is not veterinary or behavioral advice and does not diagnose or treat anything. If your dog is in distress, talk to your vet or a certified behavior professional.
