SteadyTouch brings its own voices, including child and teenager voices iOS does not offer — so a young communicator never has to speak in an adult's voice. My Voice speaks tiles, the composed message, and anything typed. A separate narrator voice reads Stories & Learning, so a lesson sounds like someone reading to the learner rather than the learner reading to themselves.

Prefer Apple's voices? In Caregiver settings, open App and turn off "Use SteadyTouch voices" to use the Apple voices installed on the device instead. SteadyTouch then links you straight to Apple's Enhanced and Premium downloads — Settings, Accessibility, Spoken Content, Voices, English. The speaking pace applies to either choice.
