Features & Capabilities

IRON is now on iPhone: 22 ready programs, log, timer and the Overload Advisor. Offline, no account, full history forever.

Your plan, your log and your progression in one app.

IRON keeps count of sets, reps and weights while you train, and tells you when it is time to add. No account, no ads, no connection needed: open it and write.

START FROM A PROGRAM, NOT FROM A BLANK PAGE

22 ready programs in the catalog: full body, upper/lower, push pull legs, 5x5, 5/3/1, GZCL, classic splits, and dumbbell-only programs for training at home. Pick one and the routines are already there, with exercises, sets, reps and rest in place. Or start from an empty page and build your own.

YOUR ROUTINES, YOUR WAY

More than 800 exercises in the library, with anatomy images and demo videos you can download. Every set configurable on its own, a goal per exercise (strength, hypertrophy, endurance), rest, notes, supersets. If an exercise is missing, you create it.

A LOG THAT ALMOST FILLS ITSELF

Last time's set is already there while you type the new one. Rest timer with a notification when it is time to go again, set types (warm-up, working, drop set, failure), estimated 1RM updated after every set, personal records called out on the spot, plate math for the barbell. Kilos or pounds, screen stays awake, light or dark theme.

WHEN TO ADD WEIGHT, SAID PLAINLY (PRO)

The Overload Advisor reads your last sessions and proposes load and reps for the next one. It looks at the trend, at your RPE if you choose to use it, at exercise order (the second chest movement of the day is not the first), and when you have been stuck for too long it proposes a deload week. The rules are written down and readable: no black box, no chatbot guessing.

THE NUMBERS, IF YOU WANT THEM (PRO)

Weekly volume per muscle group against MEV and MRV thresholds, muscle radar, charts for estimated 1RM and volume, warm-up sets calculated from the day's working weight.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS

Your history is complete and never expires, PRO or not. Import your past from a CSV exported by other apps or by IRON, export whenever you want, take a full backup and restore it when you need it. All on your phone, no servers.

FREE AND PRO

Free gives you 4 active routines, the program catalog, the log, the timer, plate math and the full history forever. IRON PRO removes the routine limit and opens Overload Advisor, Volume Tracker, calculated warm-ups and charts. Monthly, yearly with a one week trial, or once and for good: plans and prices are on the PRO screen inside the app.

WHO IS BEHIND IT

I write IRON on my own, and I train with IRON. I am not a personal trainer and the app does not pretend to be one: it does the math you would do by hand in a notebook, only faster and without mistakes. If something is off, or something you need is missing, write to hello@irongymlog.com and you get me.

The subscription renews itself unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and you manage it from your Apple ID settings.
