Family Chores, Rewards & Jobs
The family chore chart that pays out — kids check off jobs, earn stars, and stars become allowance or rewards you set. No accounts, no subscription required, no ads.
The chore chart on the fridge worked for about three weeks. Then the stickers ran out, nobody wrote anything down, and by Sunday no one could remember who actually took the bins out.
Chore Chart is that chart, on your phone, and it pays out. Kids check off jobs, earn stars, and stars turn into pocket money or rewards you set yourself. It is the printable chore chart without the printing — and unlike a printout, it does the arithmetic.
NO ACCOUNT, NO SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED, NO ADS
Every other family chore app wants an account and a monthly fee, forever. This one asks for neither. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to log in to, and no monthly bill to remember to cancel. It works on a plane, in a caravan and in a kitchen with no signal.
HOW IT WORKS
• Add each kid to the board, with their own colour and avatar
• Give them chores — pick from a library of 40 real jobs or write your own
• A chore is worth 1 to 5 stars, so emptying the dishwasher and mowing the lawn are not worth the same
• They tick it off, the stars land, and you can undo it if they got ahead of themselves
• Chores can repeat: every day, school nights, weekends, or any days you choose
STARS BECOME REAL MONEY
Set what one star is worth — a penny, a dime, whatever suits your family — and the allowance ledger keeps a running balance for each kid. When you pay them, one tap settles up and starts the count again, with the payment written into the record.
The maths is honest. If you change what a star is worth in June, the chores they did in May keep the value they had in May. Nothing is quietly recalculated behind a child's back.
A REWARD STORE THEY CAN ACTUALLY SHOP IN
Not every family pays cash. Set your own rewards — movie night, a trip to the park, choosing dinner, staying up half an hour later — put a star price on each, and let them spend what they have earned. They cannot buy what they cannot afford, which turns out to be the whole lesson.
THE SUNDAY SETTLE-UP
A weekly report shows who did what, how many stars each kid earned, and exactly what you owe — laid out per child, ready to pay out. The week runs Monday to Sunday, so settling up on Sunday evening covers the week that has just finished.
PROOF IT IS REALLY DONE
Kids can snap a photo when they finish a job. The photo stays on the phone — it is never uploaded anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.
BUILT FOR REAL FAMILIES
• Works for a 4-year-old putting toys away and a 14-year-old mowing the lawn
• The full history of who did what, kept as long as you want it
• Board themes and avatars so it feels like theirs
• An optional once-a-day reminder at a time you pick — off unless you turn it on
• A backup file you own, so a new phone does not mean starting over
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no account, no cloud, no sync and no messaging. Nothing your family does is uploaded, because the app has no server to upload it to. It does not track anyone's location, it does not manage anyone's device, and it cannot see anything outside itself. The kids check off their chores on your phone.
For parents who want the fridge chart back — the one that actually stuck.
