Allowance, Routines & Rewards
ChoreStar helps parents organize household chores, build daily routines, and keep track of allowance for the whole family. You set each child up once, and from then on they can check off their own tasks while you keep an overview of what has been done and what has been earned.
Now native on iPhone and iPad, with a home screen widget and routine timers in the Dynamic Island.
For parents
• Add each child with a color avatar or a photo
• Assign chores with their own reward amounts, due every day or only on the days you pick
• Build morning, bedtime, and after-school routines
• Approve chores first if you like: kids' check-offs wait for your OK, and any chore can ask for a photo
• Review earnings, streaks, and history at a glance
• Manage several children, each with a separate schedule
• Share access with a co-parent so you both stay in sync
• Going away? Vacation mode pauses chores for a date range: nothing is due, streaks stay safe, and it ends on its own
Somewhere for the money to go
• Goals: kids pick what they are saving for and watch the bar fill as their unspent allowance grows. When it is full, you pay it out from their page
• Reward Store: price the things money cannot buy, like screen time, picking dinner, or staying up late. Kids ask with a tap, you answer from Needs Your OK, and the price comes off their balance
A simple view for your children
• They sign in with a 4-digit PIN, so no email address is required
• Chores can be checked off as they are finished
• Their dashboard shows their streak, this week's earnings, their badges, and their goal
• Routines guide them through one step at a time, with optional countdown timers
• Badges are awarded for streaks and for completing a full week
Allowance tracking
Choose a reward per chore, or a flat rate for the day. ChoreStar totals earnings automatically as chores are completed, so there is no tally to keep by hand.
Routines that run themselves
Build a routine from named steps with icons and optional timers, ordered by drag and drop. Children can then work through it independently, and the timer for the current step appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
Make it your own
A home screen widget shows the family's progress for the day. Seasonal and premium themes change the appearance through the year, carry into kid mode, and a custom accent color follows you across devices.
Works with chorestar.app
Family data syncs between the web app, iPhone, and iPad, so everyone sees the same information.
Privacy
Family data is never shared or sold. Because children sign in with a PIN, no child provides an email address or any personal information.
Free and Premium
• Free: up to 3 children, 20 chores, badges, routines, a goal for each child, and a starter reward store
• Premium: unlimited children, chores, and store items, premium themes, and co-parent sharing
Built by a parent, for families who would like less nagging and more cooperation.
