Protiva Tenant

Protiva Huurder is the app for tenants of landlords and managers who work with Protiva — whether you're renting a home, an office space, a retail unit, or a storage unit. Everything related to what you rent is in one place, so you never have to dig through old emails again.

READ AND SIGN YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT Take your time reading your rental agreement in the app, then add your digital signature. You can see who has already signed and when the contract becomes final — and it's always right at your fingertips.

REPORT A REPAIR A dripping tap, a heater that won't warm up or a door that won't close: you report it in just a few steps. Choose the room, describe what's going on and add photos. If you're not sure how to put it into words, the built-in assistant will help you out. After that, you track the status of your report right in the app.

VIEW YOUR INVOICES Check your rent invoices: what's outstanding, when payment is due, and which invoices have already been paid. Your deposit is listed there too.

DOCUMENTS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS Your lease, a statement, or a letter from your landlord: any documents shared with you are right there, ready to open in the app.

KEEP YOUR DETAILS UP TO DATE Check your address, email address and phone number and notify your landlord of any changes.

CONFIRM YOUR IDENTITY JUST ONCE To digitally sign a rental agreement, it needs to be clear who's signing. You scan your ID, read the chip with NFC and take a selfie. You do this once.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY Protiva is a Dutch platform and your data is processed within the European Union. Only a redacted version of your ID is stored — sensitive details like your BSN and photo are blacked out; the original image never leaves your device. Your BSN is stored encrypted and displayed masked. The app itself is locked with Face ID, Touch ID or a PIN code.

WHAT YOU NEED Your account comes from your landlord or property manager — they'll send you an invitation by email or text. If your landlord doesn't use Protiva, you won't be able to use the app. For tenants, the app is free.
