Rebuild lactose tolerance
Start with a dose so small it's boring, then let Lactico raise it only when your gut says yes. Not for milk allergy — we check first, and we'll tell you to stop.
Most people who've given up dairy don't have to.
Lactose intolerance isn't all-or-nothing. Regular, gradually increasing amounts
of lactose shift the bacteria in your colon toward fermenting it better, so the
same glass of milk causes fewer symptoms over a few weeks. It's called colonic
adaptation, and it depends on two things: keeping the steps small, and showing up
almost every day.
Lactico is built around exactly those two things.
HOW IT WORKS
A safety check, first. Three questions. If you have a cow's-milk protein
allergy or galactosemia, Lactico will tell you not to do this at all — those
aren't lactose intolerance, and exposure makes them worse, not better.
A starting dose that matches you. As little as 30 ml of milk a day if dairy
currently wrecks your day. Small enough to be boring, which is the point.
Log it in seconds. What you had, how much, and how your gut took it. Had
yogurt or kefir instead of milk? Lactico does the lactose conversion for you.
The plan adapts — both directions. Three comfortable days and we step you up.
One bad day and we ease you back down, automatically. You never have to guess
whether today is the day to push.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
It says no. A dairy app that sold to everybody would be a dangerous one. Lactico
refuses to give a plan to people for whom reintroduction isn't safe, and it stops
your ramp outright if you report a symptom that doesn't belong to lactose
intolerance — hives, swelling, wheezing, blood in stool — and tells you to get
seen.
It's honest about what counts. Aged hard cheese and lactase pills are almost
lactose-free. That's exactly why they're easy to tolerate, and exactly why they
can't train your gut. Lactico won't count them as a dose and won't step you up
for them, so the progress you see is real progress.
Your data never leaves your phone. No account, no sign-up, no health data on our
servers. Your dose log lives on your device and nowhere else — we couldn't read
it if we wanted to.
WHAT IT WON'T DO
It won't cure lactose intolerance. Nothing will: the enzyme deficiency behind it
doesn't reverse. What changes is how much lactose you can handle before symptoms
start — and that improvement fades if you stop having dairy regularly. The goal
is a comfortable everyday serving that you keep.
IMPORTANT
Lactico offers general wellness guidance. It is not a medical device and does not
diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it isn't a substitute for
advice from a clinician who knows your history. Don't use it if you have a milk
allergy or galactosemia. If you have a diagnosed digestive condition, are
pregnant, or are unsure for any reason, talk to your doctor first. Stop and seek
care if symptoms worsen.
SUBSCRIPTION
