NOT A REMOTE DESKTOP — AND THAT IS THE POINT Wakivo cannot see your screen. It has no keyboard or mouse control, no access to your files, and no terminal. The connection carries a fixed list of eight power actions and nothing else. There is no way to ask it for anything more, which is exactly why it is safe to leave running.

BUILT TO BE TRUSTED • Pairing needs someone at the Mac to press Allow — a correct code is not enough on its own • Scan a QR code or type a six-digit code that expires in two minutes • Every command is encrypted and signed; your Mac rejects anything it cannot verify, and replayed commands are refused • Review every paired device and revoke any of them instantly • A full activity log of every command, including the ones that were refused • Pause remote control entirely from the Mac's menu bar • Your Mac's password is never asked for, never stored, and never sent

FREE ON YOUR OWN NETWORK On your own Wi-Fi, Wakivo is free and works with no account and no internet connection at all. Power control, Wake-on-LAN, schedules, the activity log and the Apple Watch app are all included at no cost. Your phone talks to your Mac directly. Nothing about your computer leaves your network, because no server is involved.

WAKIVO PRO — OPTIONAL PAID SUBSCRIPTION Wakivo Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription bought inside the app. It adds one thing: reaching your Mac over the internet when you are away from your home network. Everything else stays free. The price is shown in the app before you buy; payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation, and it renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.

HONEST ABOUT THE HARD PARTS • A magic packet wakes a sleeping machine. Nothing on a network can start one that is fully powered off — that is what scheduled startup is for, and Wakivo registers it with macOS directly. • Wake-on-Wi-Fi is not Wake-on-Ethernet. Wakivo detects a rotating private Wi-Fi address and tells you when a stored MAC has gone stale. • With FileVault on, a Mac that powers on stops at the unlock screen and cannot log in unattended. Wakivo reads your actual FileVault state and says so, rather than promising a relaunch it cannot deliver.

REQUIRES THE FREE MAC APP Wakivo needs the companion macOS agent running on the Mac you want to control. It lives in the menu bar, uses no Dock space, and is a free download.
