All instants are in Universal Time (the greatest eclipse is 10:06:38 UT near Luxor). The app does no guessing at runtime — it converts fixed, verified instants into your local time.
Your eyes come first:
The eye-safety facts ride right alongside the verdict and are never softened. Never look at the partially eclipsed Sun without certified solar-viewing filters that meet the ISO 12312-2 standard. Ordinary sunglasses are not safe. Only during totality, and only if you are inside the path of totality, is it safe to look with the naked eye — from C2 until C3. The moment the Sun's bright edge returns at C3, protection goes back on.
