SOURCES AND LIMITATIONS A visible Sources & limitations button in the Meal estimate card opens an in-app page with functional links to USDA FoodData Central, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2025-2030, and FDA Nutrition Facts guidance. Estimates use a simple on-device text heuristic, do not identify portion size, and can differ by recipe, brand, and preparation. Verify actual values using a package label or a specific USDA food record.
