Freethe catches the sound that just happened and holds it — stretching a fleeting moment into a living, evolving drone. Make a sound, tap the canvas, and it freezes into a sustained texture you can shape with your fingers.

Inspired by a classic sustain pedal and rebuilt as a modern granular instrument, Freethe gives every frozen "grab" its own place on a pan/volume canvas and its own character:

• Cloud — overlapping grains scatter the capture into a soft, shifting haze. • Loop — a seamless read head holds a clean, steady sustain. • Spectral — additive resynthesis turns the moment into a shimmering, tuned pad.

Grab as many sounds as you like, drag them around the stereo field, and layer them into slowly breathing soundscapes. A live scope traces the incoming signal behind the canvas, so you can feel the sound before you freeze it.
