WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Hold every credential in one place – STCW certificates of competency, endorsements, sea service history and your seafarer identity document. • Share a verified credential in seconds with a master, crewing agent, employer or port official, who can confirm it is authentic without a phone call or an emailed scan. • Keep your record with you, not with an employer – it travels with you between ships and agencies. • Never sail expired – advance notice before any certificate reaches its renewal date. • Credentials are held securely on your device behind your passcode or Face ID.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT

Credentials are cryptographically signed by the body that issued them, so a verifier can confirm they are authentic and unaltered. Identity verification is performed by Digidentity, a qualified trust service provider under eIDAS, so your identity is established once, properly, by a regulated provider.

Maritime Passport is an independent digital identity platform. It is not a government-issued document and does not replace any credential issued by a flag state or other competent authority.

HOW TO ACCESS THE APP

Maritime Passport is invitation-only. You join with an invitation code from your employer, crewing agent, training provider or flag state administration. There is no public sign-up, and no username or password to create.

FOR APP REVIEW

*** PLEASE DO NOT TAP ANY OTHER BUTTON ON THE WELCOME SCREEN. ***

There is exactly ONE route into the app for review: the button "I have an invitation code". There is NO username and NO password, and no phone call is needed to obtain a code – the code is printed below.

Do NOT tap "I already have an account". That button starts the Digidentity returning-user sign-in, which emails an 8-digit one-time login code to a mailbox the review team cannot open, and the review cannot proceed from there. This is exactly what blocked the review on 26 August.

Please follow steps 1 to 7 below in order, and tap nothing else on the way.

1. Launch Maritime Passport.
2. Tap "I have an invitation code" – nothing else on this screen.
3. Enter this code: MP-APRV-3KX3 (it formats itself as you type).
4. Tick "I accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy", then tap "Verify Code".
5. On "Code Verified" tap "Start Identity Verification". This code SKIPS passport scanning and the selfie – no passport, NFC chip or camera is needed – and goes to the profile step.
6. On "Identity Verified" tap "Select Your Rank", choose any rank, then "Confirm Rank & Continue".
7. You are now in the app. Home, Certificates, Trips and Sea Record all hold sample data. Log Out and Delete Account are both in Settings.

Every feature is reachable this way. The bypass applies ONLY to this code; all real users must verify. The app is iPhone only – on an iPad it runs in iPhone compatibility mode.
