Gold Story is a private, offline-first field journal for gold prospectors. Log finds and trips, save promising spots, learn field techniques, explore historic USGS gold sites, and research BLM mining-claim records from one app built for places with no signal.

SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED Gold Story Pro is required to create new finds, trips, and spots and to use the app's maps, lessons, filters, insights, on-device AI, claim records, research leads, and due-diligence tools. Choose a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription. Eligible new subscribers receive a 3-day free trial on either plan. Gold Story offers no free usage tier and no lifetime purchase for new customers.

People who previously purchased the retired lifetime unlock or Claims Pass keep the access covered by their purchase. The lifetime unlock remains permanent; an active legacy Claims Pass remains valid through its paid term.

YOUR RECORDS REMAIN YOURS If a subscription ends, everything you already logged stays readable, editable, deletable, and exportable. Full JSON, CSV, GPX, KML, and photo exports remain available. Gold Story never holds your own field records hostage.

Claim locations are approximate quarter-section references, not surveyed boundaries or legal advice. Records can change. Always confirm land status and current claim ownership with the BLM, county, and relevant land manager before prospecting.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, analytics, or tracking. Journal data stays on your device unless you choose to export it or make an iCloud backup. The public catalog is used only to download optional map data. The app interface is in English.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS Payment is charged to your Apple ID after any eligible trial. Your subscription renews automatically each month or year unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.
