Talekeep turns your conversations into an encrypted archive on YOUR device — a file you own, browse offline like a chat app, and can ask AI about. Private by default.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT • Your archive lives on your device; message text is encrypted at rest. No Talekeep servers, no account, no analytics or tracking. • You hold the key (Keychain, or a passphrase + recovery code you save). • One portable folder: keep it on any disk, move it to a new Mac, open it — everything, including downloaded media, just works.

ARCHIVE YOUR CHATS • Connect Telegram with your own Telegram API key and choose which conversations to keep — all history or just a recent period. • Inline photos, videos, files and albums — view and play them in the app, zoom or go full screen, filter by type, and bulk-download in the background.

IMPORT FROM YOUR OTHER APPS • Import official chat exports from WhatsApp, LINE, ChatGPT, Claude, and Slack — drop the export in and Talekeep recognizes it automatically. Imports are local files; nothing touches the network. • Anything else? Use Talekeep's open, documented import format — convert any export (even with your favorite AI's help) and pull it into your archive.

FIND ANYTHING • One search across everything: conversations, messages, AND media — browse matching photos and videos as thumbnails, open them full size, or jump straight to their place in the conversation. • Or ask in natural language across your whole archive (powered by an on-device semantic index).

ASK AI, YOUR WAY • On-device by default: Apple Intelligence answers on your device — nothing leaves it. • Or bring your own model: point Talekeep at a LOCAL model running on your device (any OpenAI-compatible server, e.g. Ollama / LM Studio / MLX), or a cloud provider with your own API key. The app clearly shows when messages would leave your device.

CONNECT EXTERNAL AI — MCP (OPTIONAL) • Want to connect external AI apps (like Claude) to your archive? Talekeep for Mac includes a local MCP server — your iPhone/iPad archive is the same portable format.
