IMPORT YOUR CHATS Import WhatsApp chat exports (.txt or .zip) directly from the Files app. ChatVault AI parses your messages, organizes them by date, and stores everything locally on your device. After import, you are automatically taken to the new chat.

READ YOUR CHATS Browse imported conversations in a familiar message bubble layout, grouped by date. Tap any message to copy or hear it read aloud. Jump instantly to the top or bottom of any conversation.

KEYWORD SEARCH ACROSS ALL CHATS Search every imported conversation at once using the built-in full-text search engine. Filter results by chat or date. Available on the free plan.

AI SMART SEARCH — PREMIUM Ask questions in plain language and find messages by meaning, not just exact words. "When did we discuss the trip?" finds relevant messages even if those exact words never appear. Powered by on-device AI — nothing leaves your device.

AI CHAT SUMMARY — PREMIUM Generate a structured summary of any chat: key topics, decisions, and action items. Choose Short, Medium, or Detailed length. Summarize the full chat or a specific date range. Copy or share the summary. Runs entirely on-device by default. An optional Enhanced Summary mode uses Apple Private Cloud Compute for very long chats — you choose when to enable it.

TIMELINE DIGEST — PREMIUM See what happened across all your chats — or one specific chat — over the last day, week, month, or a custom date range. Each digest shows message counts and an AI-generated summary per chat.

MEDIA GALLERY Browse all photos, videos, audio files, and documents from an imported chat in a tabbed gallery. Preview files with QuickLook. Select multiple items and export them via the share sheet.

EXPORT YOUR CHATS Export any chat as a plain .txt file or a zip file and share it anywhere.

CLICK TO CHAT Start a chat with any phone number — no need to save it as a contact first. Choose a country code, enter the number, and optionally pre-fill a message.

APP LOCK & SECURITY Protect the entire app with Face ID, Touch ID, or a 6-digit passcode. Set auto-lock to trigger immediately, after 1, 5, or 15 minutes, or never. Brute-force protection locks the app after repeated failed attempts and shows a countdown timer. Passcodes are stored using PBKDF2 with a random salt in the iOS Keychain.

ICLOUD BACKUP — PREMIUM Back up your imported chats to your private iCloud account. Backups are encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud — not accessible to anyone else. Restore from backup history at any time. You can also export a vault archive to the Files app.

PRIVACY FIRST AI summaries and semantic search run entirely on this device using Apple's NaturalLanguage framework. No account is required. No messages are uploaded to any server unless you explicitly enable Enhanced Summary, which uses Apple Private Cloud Compute. You can optionally delete the original export file from Files after import.
