At its heart Chromosonic is a SELF-GENERATING SEQUENCER. It improvises its own evolving melodies and patterns — endlessly, never repeating the same way twice — in any scale, key, tempo and density you choose. Set the rules and let the organism perform. Dial in density and variation for anything from hypnotic minimal pulses to busy, mutating arpeggios; lock it to your grid with swing, step length and tempo-sync.

And the sound it plays is alive. Chromosonic turns synthesis inside out: a sound isn't a preset, it's a living organism whose character is written in a genome you can see, touch, and rewrite. The DNA is laid bare as a glowing double helix, and seven genes define its voice. Change a gene and the helix re-shapes — twisting, breathing, coming alive.

A REAL SYNTHESIZER UNDER THE METAPHOR A morphing oscillator that sweeps from pure analog waveforms into true FM synthesis. A nonlinear filter with three voicings — warm, bright, biting — and analog drive. Per-gene LFO modulation, so any parameter can breathe on its own, free or tempo-synced. A vintage tape echo with true-stereo and ping-pong, and a cathedral reverb with shimmer and reverse.

MIDI — A GENERATIVE BRAIN FOR YOUR WHOLE RIG Stream Chromosonic's self-generating line out as MIDI to drive any other instrument, hardware or software — it appears as a MIDI source (standalone) or routes through your DAW (AUv3), on the channel you choose. Flip "Mute audio engine" to use it purely as a generative MIDI sequencer. Follow an external MIDI clock to lock it to your setup, or sync to your DAW's tempo and transport — and bridge it wirelessly between Mac and iPad.
