The dish you saw on TV, the page in a cookbook, the one your mother wrote out by hand. They end up in four different places, and none of them is the place you stand when you cook. RecipeNote holds them in one shape: a photo, the ingredients, the steps.

WHAT GOES INTO A RECIPE

• A photo of the dish, taken now or picked from your library
• Ingredients one line at a time, with amount and unit
• Steps in order, each with its own photo if you want one
• Source (a show, a book, a link), servings, cooking time, and a free note
• Tags, color-coded in the list

SCAN A PAGE INSTEAD OF TYPING IT

Point the camera at a cookbook page or a handwritten note and the words come in as editable text. Scan into the ingredients, or into the steps. Nothing is stored until you have read the result and corrected it on the review screen.

Text recognition runs on the device. Neither the photo nor the recognized text leaves it.

COOKING MODE

One step at a time, full screen, in type you can read from across the counter. Tap to move forward, double-tap to go back. The previous step and the next one stay visible above and below, so you never lose your place with your hands full.

• A "3 / 7" counter and a progress bar
• The screen will not dim while a dish is in progress
• Warm white on near-black, built for a kitchen after dark

MEAL CALENDAR

Put recipes on a month calendar under breakfast, lunch or dinner, with a note if you need one. Decide the week in advance and you shop once.

ICLOUD BACKUP

Recipes sync to your own iCloud account. Sign in with the same Apple Account on a new device and they come back. The developer cannot see what is in them.

IPHONE AND IPAD

On iPad the list and the recipe sit side by side, and Cooking Mode splits the step text and the step photo into two panes.
