■ Change the servings, amounts follow Use − / + in the ingredients panel and every amount scales with it. Your saved recipe stays as you wrote it, so it is safe to experiment.

■ The screen stays awake while you cook Turn on Cooking mode and the display will not dim while that recipe is open — handy when your hands are covered in flour.

■ Ingredients go straight to your shopping note Tap Copy in the ingredients panel to add them to your shopping note, then check items off as you shop.

■ Find tonight's dish in seconds Search by dish or ingredient. Narrow things down with categories, tags and favourites, or jump back through recently viewed and most cooked.

■ Keep a cooking log Record the days you cooked something, with a note. Your staples surface under "Most cooked".

■ Everything stays on your device No account needed. Your recipes and photos live only on your device and we never see them. Manual backup and restore included.

■ Available in 10 languages English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.

The app is free to use and shows a banner ad (hidden during Cooking mode). A one-time "Remove ads" purchase turns ads off for good.
