Cadence is a real-time music companion that reads your live biometrics — heart rate, heart-rate variability, movement, sleep, weather, time of day — and turns them into a personal soundtrack generated on the fly by AI. No playlists. No genres to pick. The music simply becomes whatever fits the moment you're in.

HOW IT WORKS

Cadence runs a two-step generation pipeline every time your state shifts:

1. Signal → Style. Your live sensor readings are summarized into a "scene" (resting, focusing, walking, training, winding down) and an inferred mental state. A language model translates that into a precise musical brief — tempo, mood, instrumentation, energy curve.
2. Style → Sound. A music model takes that brief and streams an original instrumental track, chunk by chunk, straight to the player. Nothing is pre-recorded. Nothing repeats.

When your scene changes — a walk becomes a run, focus turns to a break, evening slides into wind-down — the next track is composed to match. Cadence remembers what worked and gently tunes its choices to your taste over time.

WHAT IT TRACKS

With your permission, Cadence reads from Apple Health: • Heart rate and heart-rate variability • Steps, distance, floors, active calories, exercise time • Sleep stages and duration • Blood oxygen, body temperature, blood pressure

Location and weather inform "scene" — whether you're moving, where the sun is, what the air feels like.

DESIGNED FOR THE BACKGROUND

Cadence keeps playing when your screen turns off, you switch apps, or you slip the phone in your pocket. Scene detection stays awake too, so the music continues to follow you and not just the moment you opened the app.

ZERO-FRICTION START

The first time you press play, Cadence drops you straight into a warm, looping ambient pad while the first AI track is composed in the background. As soon as the real song is ready it fades in seamlessly — no waiting screen, no awkward silence.

YOUR PRIVACY

• Health data is read on-device. A compact summary of your current state is sent to the music service only while a track is being composed; raw health records are never uploaded. • Location is used in-session for scene detection and is never sold or shared. • No third-party advertising SDKs. No tracking. • You can revoke any permission from the iOS Settings app — Cadence degrades gracefully and uses whatever signals it still has.

POWER-USER FRIENDLY

Cadence ships with sensible defaults so you can press play and forget about the plumbing. If you want to point it at your own LLM endpoint (any compatible chat API) or your own music generation server, the in-app API Settings screen lets you swap base URLs, API keys, and model names without rebuilding the app.
