Piton Climbing

Piton is a climbing tracker for Apple Watch and iPhone. It answers two questions: how is my training going, and am I getting closer to sending the things I care about?

Capture Start a session on the watch and climb. The altimeter, motion, and heart rate do the logging. Forgot the watch? The phone can capture a session on its own. Heights come from the barometer, and pressure moves with HVAC, doors, or a storm rolling in, so vert is close, not foot for foot.

Falls count Most trackers zero out a failed attempt. Piton records the height you actually reached, because on a project the high point on attempt seven is the data that matters.

A transparent detector When auto-detect marks a lap you can see why, replay the raw sensor trace, and tune the thresholds per gym. Two gyms never behave the same, and the detector should not pretend they do.

One screen Today, Week, Month, Lifetime. Each window answers a different question about your training arc. No feed, no leaderboards, no streaks.

Harness or wrist Harness mount with a chest strap, or wrist with optical heart rate. Pick per session.

Bouldering too V-grades, sends, attempts, hardest send. Rope and boulder sessions sit side by side.

AI that stays on the device Coach's Notes and Ask Piton run on Apple Intelligence, on the phone. No account, no API key, no server. The voice is observational: it tells you what happened, never what to do next session. Requires a device with Apple Intelligence; everything else works without it.
