Flare triggers, skin diary
Skinframe is a photo-first rosacea tracker for iPhone, built around the dermatology consensus that landed nine years ago and that most rosacea apps still haven't caught up with.
Capture a ten-second daily selfie. Score severity on the per-feature scale dermatologists actually use, no composite "rosacea score" obscuring what's changing. Tag one trigger from a taxonomy with the evidence shown next to each chip. After about three weeks, the Insights tab starts surfacing lag-aware co-occurrences between your daily inputs and your flares, with the count and the time window visible so you can judge them yourself.
Hand your dermatologist a one-page PDF that documents what you've been tracking. Methodology footer included.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT
The photo is the data. Most rosacea trackers ask you to score yourself and trust your memory. Skinframe asks for the camera and lets your skin be the ground truth.
Patterns with their evidence shown. "Hot drinks within 12 hours preceded 4 of your last 5 flares." Every insight comes with the count, the window, and a confidence tier. We don't surface a pattern until at least three matching flare days exist.
Built for every skin tone. Rosacea on Fitzpatrick I-III often presents as visible redness. On IV-VI it's more reliably read through sensation. Skinframe asks during onboarding so the app can foreground the surface that matches your phenotype, with citations to the published literature.
Photos stay on your iPhone. Selfies live in a sandboxed app folder, never your Camera Roll. Severity scores, trigger tags, and timestamps sync through your own private iCloud container so the timeline survives a phone swap. We don't operate user-facing servers. No advertising SDKs.
PRICING
14 days free, then $29.99 once or $4.99 per month. Identical features either way. The lifetime is the recommended path. Read-only access to your existing timeline and CSV self-export remain available without any purchase. No auto-renew rate increases, no email nag after cancellation, one-tap cancel through Apple.
NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE
Skinframe is a self-tracking tool. It is not cleared by the FDA, not a substitute for a dermatologist, and not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Always work with a licensed dermatologist on treatment decisions.
