zem is the to-do app for the days you can't.

the hardest part of any task is starting. so every task in zem gets a 2-minute button — tap it and just begin. finishing is optional. that's the whole pitch.

what's in the box:

a quiet today list, no streaks shouting at you
"split this task" — paste in the wall ("file taxes") and zem breaks it into the first three small steps you can actually start
a mascot that grows as you complete tasks (and forgives missed days)
a morning energy check-in that matches the day's tasks to where you're at
soft notifications, capped at three a day
iOS widget so today's next step is on your home screen
end-of-day swipe — see what you got done in 30 seconds

things zem deliberately does NOT do:

shame you for missing a day
ship streak counters that reset on one bad week
ask for your contacts, calendar, or location
sell your data — we don't even collect task content

privacy:

we never see what you write. tasks stay encrypted on your device and on our backend; we can't read them.
the only third party that ever touches a task title is openrouter (which forwards it to the underlying model), and only when you tap "split" (with caching so the same title never goes twice).
anonymous usage events are off by default in the EU. you choose.

free 7-day trial, then a small monthly or yearly subscription. cancel any time from the App Store.

Subscription details (Zem Pro auto-renewing subscription):

Zem Pro Monthly — billed monthly at the price shown in-app, auto-renews each month until cancelled.
Zem Pro Yearly — billed yearly at the price shown in-app, auto-renews each year until cancelled.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your App Store account settings after purchase.
