Forge is a strength training, nutrition, and body composition tracker built for people who want to log their training without paying a monthly fee, signing up for an account, or handing their data to a server.
Everything you log lives in a local database on your phone. There is no cloud. There is no sync. There are no ads, no analytics, and nothing to subscribe to.
TRAINING
Build your own split — any number of training days, any focus labels, any exercises from a searchable library (or roll your own). Every set you log lives next to a "Beat this" card showing your best from the last session, plus a sparkline of your history for that lift.
• Tap a set complete and the rest timer auto-starts (1, 3, 5 or custom min presets)
• Drop sets, supersets, and bodyweight sets are first-class — drop sets log primary and drop in one row, supersets link two exercises with tap-to-jump
• Catch-up queue surfaces missed sets from earlier in the week with age indicators so you know what to make up
• Live weekly muscle-volume grid shows working sets per muscle group — spot the undertrained area before the week ends
• Color-coded weekly split strip — tap any day to open that day's workout
NUTRITION
Forge derives your daily calorie and macro targets from your own body composition, not from "average male" estimates.
• Katch-McArdle BMR when body fat % is logged (the most accurate formula for lifters); Mifflin-St Jeor as a fallback
• Phase switcher: Cut −10% kcal · Maintain ±0 · Bulk +10% kcal. Flip the toggle and all four macros recalculate
• Barcode scanner — camera-based food lookup via Open Food Facts, no account or subscription required
• Built-in macro calculator scales per-serving values to whatever portion you actually ate
• Daily macro rings on Home, full 14-day trend charts in the Food log
• Quick-add chips for recently logged foods; swipe to delete any entry
MEASUREMENTS
Most fitness apps stop at the bathroom-scale weight. Forge tracks the metrics that actually change.
• Weight, body fat %, and lean mass (auto-derived from weight × (1 − bf/100))
• Circumferences: shoulders, waist, arms (flexed), chest, quads
• Week-over-week deltas on every stat so you can tell whether the work is working
• Goal progress bars for target weight and body fat — bar turns green when you hit it
• 8-week trend charts for weight and body fat
• Optional shoulder-to-waist ratio card with a 1.618 target
APPLE HEALTH (OPTIONAL, READ-ONLY)
Finish a session and Forge pulls duration, average heart rate, and active calories from the workout your Apple Watch already recorded. Read-only — Forge never writes back to Health, and only reads when you tap "Finish."
ONE-TAP CSV EXPORT
When you want your data, it's right there. One tap exports three plain CSV files — measurements, food log, and full set history — to the iOS share sheet. Open them in Numbers, send them to your coach, archive them on your laptop. They're yours.
