Strobia turns your iPhone into a stroboscopic meditation instrument. Soft pulses of light play across your closed eyelids at precise frequencies, and your visual system answers with vivid colors and shifting geometric patterns. There is no technique to master and nothing to get right. You settle in, close your eyes, and watch what appears.

GROUNDED IN RESEARCH Every session is built on published brainwave entrainment research, with the sources cited inside the app. Alpha rhythms (8 to 13 Hz) are associated with relaxed, wakeful calm. Low beta frequencies support steady focus. Theta drift invites a dreamlike, hypnagogic state. A graded alpha to theta to delta descent is designed to ease you toward sleep, and a Dreamachine style journey around 13 Hz nods to the classic flicker experiments of the 1960s. SAFETY FIRST Strobia caps flicker at 25 Hz, ramps intensity in gently during your first sessions, and pauses automatically if your device runs warm. Important: Strobia is not suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or a history of seizures. If you are unsure, talk to your doctor before using flicker based apps.
