Breathonance is Prana-Yama. Prana is the vital energy that permeates all of Creation. Yama is the art of manipulating and enlivening this energetic principle. The controlled act of Breathing is the instrument that orchestrates the symphony of human physiology through the autonomic nervous system and serves to enliven Prana. The App teaches the learner 'how' to breathe at the resonant frequency of the human being, i.e. 4-7 breaths a minute, by emphasizing the sound, uniformity and rhythm of the exhale. The musical components to each breath-work exercise, provide a soulful element to the practice, that makes it effortless and meditative. Breathonance combines the rhythmic aspects of breathing and music and puts them in dialogue. Breathonance is not meditation, it is mindful breathing. It is 'Breath-Fullness' at its core.

Most people underestimate the importance of breathing deeply and intentionally. In this easy to follow app, you can start on a path to health and wellness with simple but powerful breath patterns. I love that they are thoughtfully paired with sound guidance to help you stay focused. In addition, there are also courses that you can take to expand your knowledge of breath work with Dr. Amit Anand himself, a very experienced physician as well as meditation, and pranayama teacher. Pranayama literally changed my life as it was the first practice on my way to mind body awareness, meditation, and mindfulness in my life.
