Middle school students have mental health challenges that affect their wellbeing and school performance. This includes problems like anxiety, depression, attention and concentration, dealing with stress, and issues with peers like bullying. Studies of children have shown many benefits of meditation, including decreased anxiety levels, lower extreme emotional feelings, increased focus, and improved overall feelings of well-being. "Healthy Youth Mind” (HYM) is a meditation app for middle school students. Product features include: an easy navigation system, shorter lengths of meditations for limited attention or availability, and specialized meditation content for the challenges middle schoolers often face. Plus, it was created and is narrated by a middle schooler.
