Instead of blocking apps or enforcing limits, Efficient Pause asks a simple question: why are you opening this right now? That small pause is often enough to break unconscious habits.

How it works

• Select apps you want to access more intentionally • When you tap an app, choose a reason before opening it • Each check is logged locally on your device • View totals to see which apps you reach for most • Export your data anytime as a CSV

Notes

Some apps may not open if they are hidden, locked behind Face ID, or do not support opening from another app. In these cases, your check is still logged.

If you want reliable opens, remove selected apps from your Home Screen and access them through Efficient Pause or the App Library.
