The Support Room

The Support Room provides support to bereaved families affected by homicide.

The Support Room is a safe anonymous space to connect with others who have been bereaved by homicide. You can start a conversation in chat, share how you are feeling or just read about how others have coped with helpful tips or strategies.

We’ve designed The Support Room to help you feel supported after homicide, to reflect on your feelings, and give you simple tips to support yourself during a difficult time.

App features: • Easy to understand support articles broken down into distinct sections: o Key Information Introductions to The Support Room, Victim Support and Peer Support, as well as how to get help and advice. o Personal Experiences Hear from other people who have been bereaved in this way. o Wellbeing Resources A selection of articles to support your wellbeing, covering sleep, stress, mindfulness and meditation. o Supporting Children & Young People Information and advice to help you to support your child following a death through homicide. o The Criminal Justice System Build your understanding of how the Criminal Justice System works and other statutory processes including DHRs and Mental Health Reviews.
