The Grief App QA

The Grief App was created by a widow and a licensed grief therapist who recognized a significant gap in accessible grief support. Drawing from both personal and professional experience, they developed practical tools to help people better understand and navigate loss. Many people struggle to access guidance during grief. This app provides structured features designed to support emotional awareness, remembrance, and reflection throughout the grieving process. The foundation of the app is based on several key needs:

People need space to experience their emotions. Grief Wave: Users set a timer and intentionally sit with their emotions. Supportive messages appear during the session to encourage presence.

People need ways to express and reflect. Audio Journal (Unlock With Subscription): A private space where users can record their thoughts and feelings. Memory Book (Unlock With Subscription): A place to collect photos and write stories that honor loved ones and preserve meaningful memories.

People often feel unprepared for the emotional impact of loss. Workbooks (Unlock With Subscription): Interactive exercises designed to help users reflect on their experiences and explore practical coping tools. Daily Quotes: Thoughtful reflections that remind users they are not alone in what they are experiencing.

Grief and moments of light can coexist. Good Moment (Unlock With Subscription): Users capture positive or meaningful moments as they happen. Happiness Wave: Previously captured Good Moments are revisited to encourage remembering the positive. Give Me a Break (Unlock With Subscription): Short activities designed to help users pause and shift their attention to the present moment.

The app also includes a Resources section with additional support information. While it does not replace professional care, The Grief App offers accessible tools and guidance for individuals navigating loss.
