User Reviews

All Who Wander is praised for its active development, deep turn-based combat, and strong replayability thanks to many classes and builds. It offers solid value and accessibility, suitable for quick sessions or lengthy roguelike runs. The main drawbacks are a notably tough late-game curve and related frustration for some players, plus requests for more biome variety and richer storytelling. Overall, it’s a thoughtful, engaging roguelike with ongoing updates that keep the experience fresh for fans.
Pros
  • Frequent, thoughtful updates and balance changes with new classes, monsters, items, and skill tweaks that boost replayability.
  • Excellent turn-based combat with depth and a wide array of classes/builds, considered among the best in its roguelike niche.
  • High replayability due to numerous classes and builds, challenging yet rewarding gameplay.
  • Strong value for money and fair monetization; full game is worth the price and there are no ads or pay-to-win elements.
  • Accessible and easy to pick up for casual play, with compelling content that accommodates quick sessions and longer runs alike.
Cons
  • Steep late-game difficulty curve and balance issues, with areas like Djinn, area 10, and Nightmare often feeling punishing or less fun than the early game.
  • Permadeath and high difficulty can be frustrating for some players, leading to burnout or wanting to quit after repeated failures.
  • Some players would like more biome/monster variety and deeper narrative writing; broader content updates could further improve long-term engagement.

Im really picky with my games. But this game was worth it! It’s so much fun and has a steep learning curve imo. Each run I do I get a little better and as I understand mechanics more I do a little better. It took me pretty long before I actually ended up beating a run. Give it a try!
