User Reviews

Users frequently praise Sonify for its speed, polished UI, and strong iOS integration, often calling it far better than the official Sonos app. However, repeated crashes, connectivity problems with Sonos systems (especially older ones), and album art display issues are common complaints. Support accessibility is also a frequent pain point. Overall, it shows great potential and user value when stable, but reliability and clearer support remain key drawbacks.
Pros
  • Very fast and snappy performance with ultra-low latency.
  • Significantly better than the official Sonos app in speed, responsiveness, and usability.
  • Excellent iOS integration: lock screen playback, Dynamic Island, control center, and compatibility with iPhone volume controls.
  • Polished, well-designed UI/UX that many reviewers highlight as a major improvement over the stock app.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability (crashes on launch, random crashes, empty/blank screens).
  • Connectivity and device discovery issues (sometimes fails to find or connect to the Sonos system, particularly with older setups).
  • Album art problems (missing artwork after updates and/or low-quality, compressed images).
  • Poor or difficult-to-use support channels (difficulty contacting the developer; support links often merely launch the app).

Sonos tale notes. Everything os as it should be Gets stuck often control wise and needs to be hard closed. Doesn’t seem to handle disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi well

This is insane. THANK YOU for a solid Sonos controller that is the right amount feature without over-complication, clean UI and ability to change group volumes simultaneously viewing the levels of all individual speakers. Now if you could just get some extra frills by way of widgets, control center actions, shortcuts etc I’d spend some money on it!

Thank you! Just discovered your app. Finally, volume control from the volume buttons on my phone, also being able to see what’s playing on my lock screen, in the notification center and dynamic Island.
