ELlipser is a professional tool for bloodstain or bullet impact ellips analysis. Import a scene or evidence photo, establish scale and vertical reference, fit an ellipse to a bloodstain, and read the measurements and angles used in impact and directionality analysis — all on your iPhone or iPad. Built for forensic practitioners, crime scene investigators, and students who need a fast, field-ready alternative to desktop analysis workflows.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Import — Load a photo from your camera roll.
2. Scale — Mark two points on a known distance and enter the real-world measurement (m, cm, mm, in, or ft).
3. Plumb — Define a vertical reference line when the image is not perfectly upright.
4. Ellipse — Fit an ellipse to the stain using intuitive on-screen controls. Adjust length, width, position, and rotation with precision.
5. Read — View live readouts for length, width, alpha (α), gamma (γ), vertical angle (V), horizontal angle (H), and ellipse center coordinates.
6. Save — Export an annotated image or full screen capture to Photos for reports and case documentation.
