Features & Capabilities

Ballistics Report redefines how shooters measure performance by turning your iPhone into a portable range lab. With Ballistics Cam, you simply view a target, tap your point of aim and hits, and let the app calculate shot group analytics and real-time accuracy metrics—replacing calipers, a paper range journal, and guesswork. It works with any target and delivers MOA and percentile-based feedback after each shot group, so you know exactly where you stand.

Keep a Digital Range Journal and track progress over time with dry-fire and live-fire goals, training plans, and drill insights. The app offers 100+ actionable insights, Infinite Zero for precise zeroing at any distance, and features like shot placement mapping, munition insights, optic insights, and global benchmarks. Upgrade packages unlock unlimited range sessions and additional tools to sharpen your precision.

User Reviews

Ballistics Report is a robust range-session tracker with strong progress logging, beginner-friendly features, and deep analytics that help shooters improve. Its UI is praised, and the monthly challenges add motivation. However, users repeatedly report calibration problems, paywalls for key features, printing issues, and some hardware/feature gaps (calibers/optics). Overall, it’s a capable training tool for committed shooters who can work through setup hurdles and occasional feature gaps.
Pros
  • Comprehensive range-session tracking with clear progress over time and easy comparison to past sessions
  • Beginner-friendly with monthly challenges and an easy-to-learn UI/UX that supports shooters at all levels
  • Rich analytics and insights (INSIGHTS tab) for in-depth performance analysis, including ammo-based factors
  • Reliable training aid that users report helps improve accuracy and consistency across practice sessions
Cons
  • Frequent calibration/measurement issues that can stall or frustrate usage
  • Features and functionality sometimes gated behind in-app purchases, leading to frustration for paying users
  • Printing targets or related target-printing functionality can fail for some users, limiting workflow
  • Limited hardware support (caliber options and optics integration gaps) and some missing data capture (e.g., misses)

Great for sitting in optics

I am a novice to the shooting world and this app is the best. You can see where you are and your progress. They have monthly challenges that are great. Good to work on shooting left or right and if you are rent at a range trying different guns to see which one feels and you shot better.
