Pros

Old Dexcom Follow version was more reliable and included a Home Screen widget.
The app provides real-time glucose data and supports live monitoring (updates every ~5 minutes).
Dexcom Follow is a vital safety tool for families managing Type 1 diabetes.

Removal/breakage of iOS Home Screen Widget (no at-a-glance readings).
Alerts and notifications are unreliable or not functioning consistently, including CarPlay silencing.
Historical data is limited (no exact values; only 'below 70'/'above 180' with no multi-day trends).
Regression from the old app (desire to bring back features like the widget and old UI).
Connectivity issues and inconsistent data sharing between devices.

Recent reviews

Even with multiple invites to multiple emails I still cannot follow their Dexcom profile. A real bummer, I was excited to send them little messages encouraging them to eat a sweet treat when they were trending low :-( This is still a non-functioning app that focuses on harassing you about notifications rather than basic functionality. The developer should be fired.

I’ve just started using this version of the app, which unfortunately doesn’t mirror the same functionality as the US Store Follow app, which allows integration with stacks and the Apple Watch. It would be great if this can be fixed in a future app update

This is the most garbage app I’ve ever used. I’ve tried sending an invite from my wife’s app 10 times, I’ve tried searching for my email used from her app and it says there’s no invitation sent. No email shows up in my inbox. And the one time I got an email to pop-up I clicked on the link and the app kept crashing. Just an absolute garbage of an app. Don’t know who they have doing their app programming, but they need to be fired. Crazy how an industry with so much money can’t get a simple app to work. Especially when it’s a life-threatening disease. Read all the horrible reviews and fix your freaking app. Should take a total of one day to fix.
