Note Navigator: Viola

“Note Navigator” is a music app designed to help viola students associate written music notes with their location on the viola fingerboard. It gamifies the standard music flashcard drill into a fun video app, guiding students through almost 300 levels to master the location of each note on their instrument.

Apprentice - 19 levels •Begins with just finger names on a fingerboard with tapes to associate note with finger/string locations. • Quickly moves to note names without accidentals.

Artisan - 42 levels •Introduces naturals, sharps and flats. •Simple enharmonic ideas.

Adept - 36 levels •Double sharps and flats are introduced.  •"Enharmonic Insanity" levels bring serious challenge.

Aficionado - 100 levels •Introduces 3rd position fingerings With simple accidentals (sharps and flats). •With complex accidentals (Double sharps and flats) “Enharmonic Insanity” levels that challenge even the professional!
