Misses the mark on a couple of features, and the community is VERY small compared to the vast ocean of content on the centralized services, but the ingredients are there. Now we just need some of the features that make it easier to produce and edit video content within the app directly and a couple other control improvements… Things like : - draggable timeline to scrub for playback - hold down finger on screen for 2x playback speed - multiple recording segments and trimming within them - automatic subtitling / closed captioning - the ability to easily add open source sound effects and background music I think if the barrier to entry for content creation and playback controls are expanded, the community will continue to grow in the same way other decentralized communities are slowly doing so like Lemmy, Pixelfed, Mastodon, and more.
