User Reviews

User reviews show strong demand for easy door access but recurring problems: broken Siri Shortcuts after updates, reliability failures opening doors, a forced migration from Latch seen as a downgrade, privacy/ads concerns with notifications, and usability issues in the UI and widgets.
Pros
  • Easy to use and convenient door access (no keys needed)
  • Simple to download and operate
  • Unlocks quickly / feels fast and accessible (compared to Latch)
  • Ad-free experience
Cons
  • Siri Shortcuts/automation broken or disabled after updates
  • Frequent reliability issues: restarts and failed door opens
  • Forced migration from Latch perceived as a regression/downgrade
  • Intrusive push notifications and privacy concerns (data sharing/marketing prompts)
  • Clunky UI and widget problems (tiny unlock button, missing doors in widgets, layout issues)
Recent reviews
Any prompt for the user to enable a feature or opt out should never give you the options “yes” or “later” instead of “yes” or “no”. The app has decided that it is going to ask me every few days if I want to enable notifications and only allow me to select later instead of No. Unbelievably stupid UX flow when I’m trying to get out of my building’s garage with people waiting behind me

They are unable to resolve an issue where it takes over 5 seconds to open our door, and half our lights are not working. Other tenants in our building have the same problems.
