I got this lightbulb because it was said to be the most reliable lightbulb on the market. I purchased the lightbulb only to find out it has a weekly subscription… not monthly WEEKLY, On top of this I order to use the app free you have to exit out of a pop up window to buy their weekly subscription of 4.99 a week of over 20 times to turn off the bulb remotely. I will FOREVER BOYCOTT ANY PHILLIPS PRODUCT AND ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM. You have forever lost a once satisfied customer of your products. There is NO coming back from this… Ask Wal-Mart.

Update: Do not download this app. The developers are scam artists and should be behind bars. There is an official app called “Hue” that works well. This app, however, was designed to steal your money by charging you hundreds of dollars to change the color of your bulb (a function you’ve already paid for). I strongly urge Apple to take this app off the store. They are giving Hue a bad name. … Do not buy a Hue. I spent all this money on what I thought was a premium product and now I have to watch a dumb ad every time I want to dim it. What a scam.
