Overview

Features & Capabilities

PeakWatch uses HealthKit data to power AI fitness coaching. It analyzes heart rate, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, and breathing to reveal your recovery and exertion, then delivers personalized training recommendations. With GenAI-powered explanations, insights, and context, you can ask questions about your data and receive clear, actionable feedback.

Core features include Body Energy (a daily energy score from Recovery, Sleep, Strain and Stress), Stress tracking, Recovery status guidance, Exertion-based training ranges, and a Photo Food Log with AI nutrient analysis. Explore 100+ workouts across HIIT, Hybrid, HYROX and Strength, build and share custom workouts, and view long-term training balance with detailed charts. Training analysis highlights HRV, zones and impact, while Sleep Trend Insights help optimize performance. PeakWatch also offers on-watch faces and on-device privacy with HealthKit data stored locally, and is free to use with PeakWatch PRO available.

User Reviews

Users praise PeakWatch for accurate, AI-driven insights and a clean UI, plus strong all-in-one consolidation of Apple Health data and workouts. The deep, actionable analytics—fatigue, readiness, and training trends—are especially valued by serious runners and endurance athletes. However recurring issues temper the enthusiasm: billing and refund problems and pricing concerns; Apple Watch/iPhone syncing and data visibility issues; questions about the true value of AI features and ongoing upsell prompts; and occasional data accuracy gaps (mislabeling metrics, HRV/sleep data, unit mismatches). Overall, it shows high potential when reliable, but needs fixes in reliability and billing.
Pros
  • Accurate data with responsive AI insights and a clean, easy-to-read UI.
  • All-in-one consolidation of Apple Health data and workouts in one place.
  • Clear, well-organized graphs and presentation that make trends easy to interpret.
  • Deep, actionable performance analytics for training decisions (fatigue, readiness, trends).
  • Highly valued by data-driven, endurance-focused athletes for marathon-style training.
Cons
  • Billing and refund problems, including incorrect charges and pricing concerns.
  • Apple Watch / iPhone syncing issues and data not appearing on the watch.
  • Perceived limited value of AI features alongside persistent premium upsell prompts.
  • Data accuracy concerns such as mislabeling metrics and inconsistencies in HRV/sleep data (and unit mismatches).

Don’t trust their food info for micros or calories. I explained that to them. They wanted pictures. I sent multiple of multiple foods, but they have not responded since sent proof. I asked for a refund, no response as well.

I’ve really been enjoying PeakWatch and appreciate the focus on recovery and training readiness. However, one feature that would make the app significantly more useful for strength athletes is the ability to manually log strength training details after a workout. I’d love the option to enter: * The exercises performed * Sets and reps * Weight used * The muscle groups trained Many of us record our workouts using the Apple Watch’s “Traditional Strength Training” workout, which only captures heart rate and duration. Because of this, PeakWatch can’t accurately determine muscle load or muscle-specific fatigue. Adding the ability to edit a completed workout or manually enter lifting details would make Muscle Load much more valuable for lifters and would eliminate the need to use a separate workout-tracking app. It would also make PeakWatch a more complete fitness platform for strength training. Overall, I think this feature would greatly improve the experience for anyone who lifts regularly. Thank you for all the work you’ve put into the app!
